Graham: Clock Is Doing That Clicky Thing It Does

In a statement worthy of Jean Chretien (or Dan Quayle on a bad day), Canada's foreign minister Bill Graham had this to say on the subject of Iraq:

"In our view, clearly no country is intending to move immediately against Iraq. There is therefore time for Iraq to bring itself into conformity with 1441, but any time that is there is extremely short, and that will be for the Security Council to determine," Canadian Foreign Minister Bill Graham told reporters in Montreal.

So there. You tell 'em, Bill! In your face, Saddam!

When asked by reporters to clarify his remarks, Graham replied "My cat's name is Mittens!". When this failed to satisfy reporters, Graham ran and hid beneath a desk.

In other news, Canadians who pay attention to their government's increasingly bizarre antics are thinking about having Ottawa's water supply checked for lead.

I think they had better check it for mescaline and hallucinogenic mushrooms while they're at it.
